The Student Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (SCAAPD) at UCLA is dedicated to creating opportunities for students to participate in research activities involving pediatric dentistry. We believe research is integral to the profession of dentistry and to student education. We pride ourselves in our ability to offer research assistant positions within our Institution at the UCLA School of Dentistry. UCLA SCAAPD's research assistant match system enables pre-doctoral students to participate in research opportunities provided by pediatric dentistry residents. Quarterly research reviews allow students to critically examine recent progress in particular topics of interest and discuss findings associated with recent research papers.
